Potos is a bustling seaside village on the sunny south side of Thassos and offers the best of all worlds. Potos is only 3 kilometres away from Limenaria the second largest town on the island after the capital Limenas, also known as Thassos Town.

Other places of note on the south side of Thassos are the cliff-edge Archangel Michael monastery, Aliki which bears testament to the importance of the unique Thassos white marble, dozens of beaches from the dazzling white sands of Psilli Ammos where the party never ends to the more laid back Salonikios beach and not forgetting the awe inspiring Giola, a pool hewn out of the rocks by Mother Nature.
